On this day we traveled to the country with Sunny, Jason and the girls.
Our first stop was Stratford upon Avon.
We visited William's childhood house. We couldn't take any pictures inside--bummer, but we did get to see the room where the greatest poet that ever lived was born. Just picture a very Elizabethan room with dramatic wall coverings, a very short bed (we were told that everyone slept sitting up at this time), a fire place, some old chairs, a little wooden cradle, and creaky, uneven floor boards. They probably didn't have glass in the windows, as you see in the picture below.

It was so fun to be with this cute family. Something I love about little kids: no inhibition. Just pure curiosity and joy.
Observe:
That is a "living statue," a real person in the picture on the right and middle.
Antalya was like, "What in the world?" Her reactions were priceless. I wish I could have captured them better.

Hello stranger! Let's be friends! Oh, what you got there?

This is one of my favorite pictures of the day. She just got comfy right there on the side walk and listened to the lovely guitar music.

He was pretty good. He played one of my favorite songs: Jesu, joy of Man's Desiring by one of my favorite composers, Bach.

We walked around town and down by the river. It was lovely. Especially after a little rain.
Lots of swans.

Goose upon Avon.

Cutie upon Shoulders.

And that, my friends was our lovely day in the hometown of the Bard. That evening we drove to Chipping Campden and stayed at the very stately Noel Arms hotel. Would you call it stately, Sunny? I'll have to think of a better word. It was very nice, in any case. We had some curry at the restaurant and plenty of R&R (at least Jeremy and I did) and then really trekked a bit of the English country side in the morning.
